Terms of use

The terms for using Solwise during the private beta, in plain words. Last updated 18 October 2026.

What Solwise is

Solwise reads the business files you upload (such as a profit and loss or a sales export), calculates figures from them with fixed formulas, and shows what they say, with the rows behind each figure. It is a beta: features change, and some are not finished.

What Solwise is not

  • Not accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, and not an audit. Figures are calculated from your file as written; Solwise does not check that your records are complete or correct.
  • Suggestions such as “suggested starting point” or “grow, fix, monitor or reduce” are prompts to look closer, not instructions. You decide what to do with your business.
  • AI explanations are checked against the calculated figures, but can still be incomplete. A possible reason is never proof.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and use Solwise only for businesses whose files you are allowed to share with us. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

Your data

Your files and figures stay yours. We use them only to run Solwise for you, as the Privacy page describes, and never sell them. You can delete any report from its page, or everything at once from your account page (“Delete all my data”).

AI features

Some features send calculated figures and your question to an AI provider (Groq). Solwise asks for your agreement before it first does so, and the Privacy page lists exactly what is sent. Your uploaded file itself is not sent.

Fair use

Do not upload files you have no right to share, try to reach other people's data, overload the service, or use it to break the law. We may limit or close an account that does.

Availability and price

The beta is free. It may be unavailable at times, and we may change or end it; we will give notice where we reasonably can so you can download your reports first.

Responsibility

Solwise is provided as it is during the beta. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of its figures or explanations. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date above changes and signed-in users see a notice. Questions: use the contact address given to you with your beta invitation.
